Description

Thiruneelagantar, the blue-throated manifestation of Lord Shiva, commemorates the divine episode of the Samudra Manthana (Churning of the Ocean). When the deadly halahala poison emerged from the cosmic ocean, Lord Shiva consumed it to protect the universe. Fearing that the poison would spread through his body, Goddess Parvati compassionately held his throat, causing it to turn blue and earning him the name "Neelakantha"—the Blue-Throated One.

This 14-inch Panchaloha sculpture beautifully depicts this profound moment of sacrifice and divine grace, with Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati captured in exquisite detail. Handcrafted using the ancient lost-wax casting technique and finished in an elegant antique patina, the sculpture embodies the rich artistic traditions of South India.

Ideal for homes, temples, and collectors of sacred art, this timeless piece symbolizes compassion, protection, and the triumph of selflessness.
